- What does Alumina Engineering actually supply?
- We supply and install architectural products across five families: automatic doors and access solutions (swing, sliding and revolving doors, closers, glass fittings and locks), operable and acoustic walls, fire door systems, handrail and balustrade systems, restroom cubicle systems and soft interior products.
- Which brands do you represent in India?
- dormakaba for door controls, automatic doors, glass fittings and access solutions; Skyfold for vertical operable acoustic walls; McKeon for fire and smoke protection systems; Merino for restroom solutions; GM Fabrics for soft interiors; plus Indian manufacturing partners for handrail and balustrade systems.
- Do you only supply, or do you install as well?
- Both. We handle the full lifecycle — consultation, specification, procurement, installation, commissioning and maintenance — so a project deals with one accountable vendor instead of several.
- Do you work outside Mumbai?
- Yes. We are headquartered in Mumbai and operate a pan-India service network for delivery, installation support and ongoing maintenance.
- Which sectors do you work in?
- Corporates, hospitality, healthcare, data centres, retail, airports, villas and premium residences — 15+ industry sectors to date.
- Are your products code-compliant for accessibility and fire safety?
- Our automatic sliding door solution for persons with disabilities follows the National Building Code Volume 1-2016, Part 3 – Annexure B, and the CPWD Handbook on Barrier Free and Accessibility, Chapter 8. Products are certified to international standards including ANSI, EN, UL, CE, Intertek, Warrington Fire and BHMA.
- How do I get a quotation?
- Send your architectural drawings or a short scope note through the contact form, by email to sales@aluminaengg.in, or call +91 99302 79240. Our technical team reverts with a recommended system and commercial proposal.
- Do you provide after-sales service and spares?
- Yes. A dedicated service team handles maintenance, spare parts and technical assistance across India, backed by global manufacturer warranties.
- Can you supply access control turnstiles and sensor gates?
- Yes. Our Physical Access Systems range covers tripod, half-height and full-height turnstiles, sensor-controlled public passage gates and personal flow solutions, with protection classes such as RC2, WK2 and WK3 and safety sensors to DIN EN 16005.
- What doors do you offer for physically challenged users?
- Barrier-free solutions: low-energy automatic sliding and swing operators activated by push pad, accessible restroom doors with push-knob lock, release and emergency pull-cord, and revolving doors with a handicap button for temporary speed reduction.
- How much acoustic separation can an operable wall achieve?
- Skyfold vertical retractable walls reach a sound reduction index of up to 59 dB (Zenith 47–59 dB, Classic 51–59 dB, Mirage 34 dB with glazed inserts). Horizontal Variflex systems reach up to 58 dB.
- Do you still supply HSW horizontal sliding glass walls?
- No. That category has been discontinued. For flexible openings we recommend Muto manual sliding systems or Skyfold and Variflex movable walls, depending on the span and acoustic requirement.
- Why choose Alumina Engineering over another supplier?
